1.- DATES

 

From 6^th to 14^th of October, 2007.

 

 

2.- COMPETITION AND TRAINING VENUE

 

The Junior Men and Women Weightlifting Championships will take place at POLIDEPORTIVO MUNICIPAL “MIGUEL ANGEL DIAZ MOLINA”, in Puerto de la Cruz (Tenerife-Spain)

 

Training facilities will be allocated at the

 

 

3.- CATEGORIES

 

Age category:

 

Up to 20 years men and women (including twenty – 20 – years old).

 

 

Women, 7 categories:

 

-48 kg., 53 kg., 58 kg., 63 kg., 69 kg., 75 kg., + 75 kg.

 

 

Men, 8 categories:

 

-56 kg., 62 kg., 69 kg., 77 kg., 85 kg., 94 kg., 105 kg., +105 kg.

 

4.- PROVISIONAL TIME SCHEDULE

5.- PARTICIPANTS

 

Only competitors from National Weightlifting Federations/Associations which are affiliated with the European Weightlifting Federation (EWF) are entitled to participate.

 

Each participating team may enter a maximum of seven (7) female lifters and a maximum of eight (8) male lifters. In addition, each team may enter two (2) male reserves and two (2) female reserves spread over the different categories.

 

 

 

6.- DOPING CONTROL

 

Doping control tests will be carried out according to the IWF Constitution and Laws.

 

 

7.- GENDER VERIFICATION

 

Each female lifters must bring the Certificate of Gender Verification to be checked during the weigh in.

 

 

8.- ENTRIES

 

Preliminary Entry Form (number, name and weight categories) must be received by the Spanish Weightlifting Federation not later than AUGUST 7, 2007 (copy to EWF).

 

Final Entry Form (name and categories) must be received by the Spanish Weightlifting Federation not later than SEPTEMBER 7, 2007 (copy to EWF).

 

 

9.- COMPETITION RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

The Championships will be held according to the current IWF and EWF Technical Rules.

11.- ACCREDITATION

 

Accreditation will take place in the Hotel .

 

12.- TRANSPORT

 

The Organizing Committee will provide transportation of the participants between the International Airport of “Los Rodeos” and the Hotel and the other way around, for the amount of 10 € / person based on the schedule they will send to the organizers. Transportation will also be provided from the International Airport of “Reina Sofía” for the amount of 25 € / person.

 

 

13.- FINANCIAL CONDITIONS

 

The accommodation fee per person full board is:

·        Single room  90 € / person / day

·        Double room 80 € / person / day

 

An entry fee of 120 € / person has to be paid by each participant in accordance with EWF by-law 13.1.12

All fees must be paid at the accreditation procedure.

 

 

14.- AWARDS

 

The first, second and third lifters in Snatch, Clean & Jerk and Total for each body weight category will be awarded gold, silver and bronze medals.

The best three nations (men and women) will receive team awards.

All participants will receive a remembrance award.

 

 

15.- VISAS

 

Each Federation should contact the Spanish Embassy in their country to check if visa is needed.

If you have any problem, please contact the Organizing Committee ( Spanish Weightlifting Federation ).

 

 

16.- FLAGS AND ANTHEMS

 

Each delegation is kindly requested to bring two (2) National flags (100x150 cm.) and a cassette tape of their National anthem.

The Organizing Committee will collect them upon each delegation´s arrival and return them as soon as the Championships are over.

 

 

17.- INSURANCE

 

All National Federations have to provide travel and  accident insurance of all its participants before leaving their country in accordance with the Regulations of the EWF.
